Lucky Dip Draw
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lucky Phone?
It's a FREE daily prize draw and lottery game where you do not have to buy a ticket. There are 3 draws made at midnight every day you can enter.
How do I enter the Lucky Dip Draw?
As soon as you activate your email address using the link we send, you will be given a 'lucky dip' set of 9 digits which will be automatically entered into every Lucky Dip Draw starting with the very next one drawn. Your lucky dip numbers never change.
How do I enter the main draw and mega draw?
If you successfully activate a telephone number on your account, that number and any future ones added will all be entered into every main and mega draw starting with the next one drawn.
What is Bingo and how do I play?
You can start playing the bingo games as soon as you register with at least one telephone number and do not have to wait for a draw to run. To play visit the bingo page when logged in and follow the detailed instructions. Winners of all bingo games can boost their points by winning the games.
Why can I not win as much with the Lucky Dip draw?
The Lucky Dip draw was added to allow players to join the site and have the chance to win without entering their telephone number. Random numbers distributed could possibly lead to players being able to cheat the system with multiple accounts so the Lucky Dip draw was added to let people play but it cannot be used to distribute the largest payouts. We think of playing the Lucky Dip draw only as a way to join the fun and 'test the water' first.
Why do you ask for telephone numbers at all if I can play without one?
We want to give players as many chances as possible to be a winner and also to collect points as fast as possible but we also must limit this otherwise the person with the most 'lucky dips' would always have the greatest chance of winning. Telephone numbers are perfect for generating 9 digit numbers for the gameplay but also for limiting the entries allowed per person making the site fairer for all.
Do I have to enter each draw separately?
No. Once you have your 'lucky dip' numbers for the Lucky Dip draws and optional telephone number(s) for the main/mega draws, they will be entered into all relevant future draws starting with the very next ones drawn.
How do I activate my telephone number?
All telephone numbers registered must be verified and activated to ensure all entries are valid. To confirm this we send a text to mobiles or make an automated phone call to landline numbers with a 4 digit activation code which must be entered to confirm and activate the entry to the draws.
How do you determine the daily prize fund?
This is entirely down to you! We calculate from approximate ad revenue expected from visits to the site which comes from the number of possible entrants that will be checking for a win. The more entrants in the draws the higher the winnings, so tell all your friends!
What do I do if I win?
More information is displayed on the 'check results' page but it is as simple as pressing a 'Collect' button and entering your preferred payment details so we know you are waiting for us to contact you with your money! If you win but do not click 'Collect' then the main draw prize fund will be rolled over to the next draw, the Lucky Dip draw prize does not get rolled over. The larger prizes on the mega draw will be claimable in the same way but payment distribution will be discussed on a draw by draw basis.
How long does it take to get my winnings?
We will endeavour to contact you within 24 hours of your request to collect if you are a lucky winner to arrange the transfer of your winnings. The larger prizes on the mega draw may take slightly longer for any lucky winner!
What other information do you need if I win?
If you are a randomly chosen winner and you click 'Collect' you will be asked for your payment details and your postcode so we can pin your approximate location to the winners map on the stats page.
How do you pay my winnings?
We pay by Paypal, bank transfer or cheque. The site is fully secure and your personal details are removed once payment has been made. If you choose to be paid via bank transfer please be aware we only ask for the bare minimum of information (sort code and account number) which is shown on bank cards and cheque books. No private information is ever requested.
Can I add more than one telephone number?
Yes, this will give you more entries in the main and mega draws giving you more chances of winning. You can register up to a maximum of six numbers that you own, which can be a mixture of mobiles and landlines, but each one must be activated individually by entering a code on the website that is sent to your telephone number. You can only have one inactive telephone number on your account at any time.
Can I register someone else's telephone phone number?
You can only register telephone numbers you own and have access to or have been given permission from the owner of that number to use so you can receive the activation code.
Does the PIN you send cost me anything?
No, just one automated call or text is made at our cost to the telephone you are registering. That telephone number is then entered into all prize draws that follow.
So if the phone call and the draws don't cost me, how do you keep the site running?
Prize funds are generated from advertisements displayed the site. The more entrants that check the daily draw create more revenue and therefore higher winning prize funds. With this in mind we would be very grateful if you turned off any ad blocking software you may be running when visiting this site.
What happens with my personal data that I enter on the site?
Nothing, we ask for and store the least amount of personal information as possible. When you join the site we will only ever ask for a username for display purposes, an email address to contact you and a 'special month/year date' which can be anything just for an added bit of fun to give you the chance to collect more loyalty points. You can optionally add your telephone number(s) to be entered into the main prize draws. A postcode will be requested if you are a lucky winner just to display on a winners map of the UK as well as payment details.
What if I change my email address and/or telephone number?
To request a change to your registered email address or any of your telephone numbers please
What happens if I forget to check the draw result and I am a lucky winner?
Unfortunately, if you do not check the site and claim the prize fund it is missed and rolls over to the following draw. We will not be held liable for missed winnings. We will send a daily reminder email with a link to easily check your results to help you remember, unless you unsubscribe from the email.
What happens if I forget all the time, am I still added to the draws?
Failing to check the site for a considerable number of days in a row will result in all valid entries in the account being deactivated and will need to be reactivated if still required. An email will be sent to notify if this occurs.
What happens if I don't win?
If you don't win the current draw you still have the chance to accumulate loyalty points (LP) if your entries have matching digits to the current draws winning entry. Think of this like the lottery where you can match numbers but your lucky numbers are the digits from your entries.
What are LP's?
LP's are our 'Loyalty Points' which can be collected for various actions on the website. If enough are collected they can be redeemed for prize funds!
How do I collect LP's?
There are currently 4 ways to earn LP's but we regularly add more methods to these so keep your eyes peeled.
1. Daily draw LP's are distributed to entrants who have matching digits in their telephone number to those of the winners telephone number for every draw made. You need to claim these points in order to redeem them at a later stage. The number of LP you can claim is shown when you check the results of the current draw.
2. Referring new players to the site. If you use a special 'refer' link (which can be found on your profile page) to encourage other users to join, you will receive LP's upon any successful newly activated telephone number leading directly from your referral link which will be automatically claimed on your behalf.
3. When joining the site a 'special date' is asked for (day/month). If you check any of the draws on this day of the year a special amount of bonus LP is given. You need to claim these points as you would with any normal draw points.
4. If you have referred one of the daily winners in either draw you can collect even more points.
How many people can I refer?
We would like you to refer as many people as you can but there is a maximum limit of 2500 points (or 500 individual referrals) per account that can be claimed and redeemed.
How do I check my matching numbers?
You don't need to check them manually as the number of matching digits you have is calculated after each draw and shown when you check your results. You can of course also double check this yourself as the winning numbers are shown on the check results page for the current draws.
If I win do you show my telephone number as it is used to check for matches in the lottery?
Your telephone number is never shown in full apart from on your own profile and check results pages. The winning lottery numbers are the last 9 digits of the winners telephone number rearranged in numerical order so it is impossible to guess the winners number. For example if your number was 07987654321, the number shown on the site would be 123456789. It would not be known if it was a mobile or a landline number and the digits could be in any order in the original telephone number.
